  i wondered who had the power to do that?

  My book was removed from Kindle on Amazon Books for over a year. I wondered who had the power to do that? Anyway it is back up after paying thousands of dollars in extra fees. So to celebrate this fact, it is back up and discounted to just .99 cents a down load.

  Were the bethelites disappointed when they moved out of Brooklyn?

  anyone know of anyone who was serving at the time of the move?

  i know a few former jw's who were at brooklyn who have told me that the actual bethel experience was kind of a drag but it was kinda cool to experience living in nyc for a couple of years.

  i visited a relative who was serving, years ago and went into the apartment he shared.

  Yes the view was great.....especially in the lobby of 124 it was magical. However there was little time to enjoy it when you are working in a slave labor camp making only .73 cents a day.

  Memory Lane and Brooklyn Bethel

  i spent monday walking down memory lane.

  i went to the old brooklyn bethel.

  the old towers hotel, were i roomed for 3 years is now a care facility for old folks.

  I Spent Monday walking down memory lane. I went to the old Brooklyn Bethel. The old Towers Hotel, were I roomed for 3 years is now a care facility for old folks. The cost per month is $6,000 to $25,000 pp. I couldn't get into the 129 119 or 107 buildings they are condos and apartments now. They were gutting the old 124 building and will soon be condos going for millions of dollars each. The old cornerstone that Russel put in place to mark the spot of the headquarters got jack hammered out and a new piece of granite was put in its place.....with no writing on it, So if you didn't know it no one would have a clue these buildings were once owned by the Watchtower Bible and Truck society. All things change and pass....My old pizza place is still there. If you you were lucky and had any thing left from your 22 dollars a month they gave you...you could buy a slice for .75 cents. They were closed on Mondays. So no pizza for me. I also went to the old factory at 117 Adams St. It's all office buildings owned by Esty. Security guards said no visitors. Of course I couldn't get in there either. I had an Asian rice bowl in what used to be building 1 by the old garage. Then I walked over to Building four (55 prospect St.) to the spot where James Olson hit the ground after jumping to his death. Guess what? There was no plaque to mark the spot. James and the Jehovah's Witnesses do have one thing in common they are dead or soon will be....as will be the thousands of young men who served there. No "last days or Paradise" for them.

  well, i haven't been here in about 5 months.

  ever since my ex-pioneer partner and bethel roommate roy baty died.

  Well, I haven't been here in about 5 months. Ever since my ex-pioneer partner and Bethel roommate Roy Baty died.

  Looks like I've have missed out on some fun. I'm afraid I haven't read all 2700 post about Lloyd but I think got the jest of what is going on.

  All I know is I heard The Watchtower Bible and Truck Society gave Lloyd some serious money and an all expense paid trip to Thailand just to shut him up.....not really I guess he did it for free.

  Not that it matters but I never really like him for a couple of reasons.

  1. The title of his book is a lie. "The reluctant Apostate" He loves his activism, since this is his only source of income. In fact if something ever did happened to his chief adversary he would be screwed. He would have to go out and get a real job.

  2. If he really wanted to help people with their perception of the WBT society he would care about what people thought about him personally and his physical presentation. He looks like someone who just spent the night under a bridge. He might has well put tattoos on his face. He looks like someone who doesn't give a shit. And what is with all this stupid "Star Wars" stuff he decorates his office with? He comes off as someone who is mentally about 15 years old.

  3 If you want to talk the talk you better walk the walk. If you want to attack a hypocritical religion. Then you have no choice but to be squeaky clean yourself. As we know, just like the egomaniac leaders of the religion he is attacking its easy to start buying into your own bull shit...."that's the ticket"

  Which brings us to number 4.

  Rest in peace Lloyd you played right into theirs hands of the Society's perceptions of what they want their followers to believe what apostates look and act like.

  Something Eerily Familiar about "The Village" Movie.

  I love Simon's statement, "You get this sense that things aren't right, everything isn't as it seems, but you don't quite know how."

  What better way to describe trying to choke down their so called spiritual food with a thinking mind where all the pieces don't quite fit together and in the end their only fall back to the insanity they are pushing is "well....you just have to trust in Jehovah".

  "Bad Boy" sounds like a "Judgement" to me

  First off I love love everyone and I mean everyone (except maybe you lol). So my statement about Roy being a "stupid mindless follower/victim" was not a judgment....just a statement of fact.

  By the way just because someone is "happy" in their course of action or in their "choices" doesn't make their conduct beneficial for themselves or the people they effect.

  It must be nice to be able to condense life down to just 3 simple choices.
